Tour de France - Tiesj Benoot : «On va voir ce qu'on va faire avec Jonas»

Equipier très important au sein de la formation Jumbo-Visma, le coureur belge Tiesj Benoot aura encore été un soutien capital pour son leader, le maillot jaune Jonas Vingegaard. Alors qu'il a roulé à l'avant dans la première moitié de cette 17e étape du Tour de France, le vainqueur des Strade Bianche 2018 a évoqué la situation de son équipe : "J'avais déjà grimpé Peyragudes en 2017. C'est une belle arrivée. Les 300 derniers mètres sont raides, donc il y a du spectacle. On verra ce que l'on fera avec Jonas Vingegaard demain, mais 2 minutes avant le chrono, c'est une bonne situation", a-t-il expliqué après la course. Avec une nouvelle étape pyrénéenne arrivant à Hautacam au programme ce jeudi, Benoot devra à nouveau s'illustrer pour défendre la position de son leader danois.
