Unfortunately this morning, after a rapid test performed by the team doctor, @AmandaSpratt tested positive for Covid-19 and therefore will not start stage 8.@BakerGeorgia also won’t start after being close contact with Spratt.
My Giro is over ðŸ˜ðŸ˜¢ðŸ¥ºðŸ˜©âŒ. I felt a bit off in the stage yesterday and woke up this morning not feeling well. A test confirmed positive for Covid. So sad and disappointed when my favourite stages were finally here. Heading home and will focus on recovery. Thanks team 😘 pic.twitter.com/FO80Eive5M
