Alexander Kristoff : «Si j'avais rejoint B&B Hotels-KTM...»

C'était la première grosse annonce du mercato 2022 ! À peine la période des transferts ouverte, ce lundi 1er août, la formation continentale Uno-X Pro Cycling Team avait décidé de frapper un gros coup en annonçant la venue d'Alexander Kristoff (35 ans), qui faisait partie de l'équipe belge Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Matériaux, pour la saison prochaine. Pourtant, l'ancien vainqueur de deux Monuments - Milan-San Remo 2014 et Tour des Flandres 2015 - aurait pu signer dans la formation B&B Hotels-KTM. "Je suis resté où j’étais, chez Intermarché. Mais s’il y avait une très bonne offre, j'aurais pu signer là-bas. Mais j’aurais eu un problème maintenant", explique-t-il à TV2. L'ancien champion d'Europe a également évoqué une éventuelle invitation pour le Tour de France : "Nos chances augmentent considérablement avec l'histoire de B&B, mais on ne sait jamais. Nous avons une très bonne équipe."
